AUSTIN, TEXAS- World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) today announced a partnership with the iconic Lazy E Ranch and Arena, welcoming the organization as the official presenting sponsor of the WCRA Triple Crown of Rodeo (TCR). The TCR is an award that will pay a $1 million bonus to any one or collection of athletes who win first in any three consecutive WCRA TCR events.

Along with the bonus now being called the Triple Crown of Rodeo Presented by Lazy E, the legendary ranch and arena will serve as a year-long sponsor of WCRA and will present the $1 million cash award.

“Lazy E is an iconic Western Sports brand. They are the gold standard in equine breeding and represent the values WCRA was founded upon and celebrate,” said Bobby Mote, WCRA President. “This is about as natural and authentic as a WCRA brand partnership can get, and I am personally eager to watch someone take home that $1 Million payday with the famous Lazy E mark on it.”

Under the Reliance Ranches ownership, The Lazy E Ranch is located southeast of Guthrie, Oklahoma and was established in December 1984. The Lazy E Arena is located on this private ranch and is the largest indoor arena dedicated to western sports in America.

“Lazy E Ranch and Arena is proud to be part of the Triple Crown of Rodeo where some of the most authentic and diverse group of athletes in the rodeo world are showcased,” said Dan Wall, Lazy E General Manager and VP.” Lazy E has set the standard of what it means to produce and foster champion equine, similar to WCRA who continues to raise the rodeo bar and progress the western sports industry.”

The Lazy E Ranch is a premier equine breeding and sales prep facility and stands many of the world’s top racing American Quarter Horse stallions. The Lazy E Ranch opened its gates in the fall of 1984 and since that time has been involved in both the Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred racing industries. With the purchase of World Champion and World Champion sire Special Effort in 1989, the Lazy E began to earn recognition as one of the top Quarter Horse breeding operations in the country.

Currently- Tacy Kay Webb, a 24-year-old ICU Nurse has positioned herself to win the TCR. For Webb, fresh off her win at Cowtown Christmas Championship Rodeo, the event marked her second consecutive WCRA Major win, putting her in contention to be a millionaire. If Webb triumphs at May’s Rodeo Corpus Christi, she will be the first victor of the WCRA Triple Crown of Rodeo $1 Million Bonus and the first woman in rodeo to become an overnight millionaire.

All athletes from around the globe have the opportunity to compete in the WCRA Major Events Series and compete for the TCR after qualifying through the WCRA Virtual Rodeo Qualifier (VRQ).
