Julie Mankin is a former newspaper editor and Wyoming-based freelance writer whose work has appeared in Western Horseman, American Cowboy, The Team Roping Journal and more. As a breakaway roper, she finished within the top five in the nation at the College National Finals Rodeo and a Colorado Professional Rodeo Association championship.
Bailey Bates was the star of the 2025 San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo from the jump, marking two 1.9-second runs and capping it off with another 1.9-second sizzler in the short go, all aboard her horse Rocket.
