Lari Dee Guy grew up outside of Abilene, Texas, on a multi-generational family ranch where her parents kept her horseback with a rope in her hand throughout her childhood. Guy excelled in junior rodeo and college rodeo, before focusing her efforts on winning Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world titles in the heading, heeling, breakaway roping and all-around. She’s won every major ladies’ roping title, from the Wildfire Ladies Only to the BFI’s All-Girl Team Roping. A teacher and tireless advocate for women’s roping, Guy now splits her time between competing at the elite level of both breakaway roping and team roping and teaching clinics across the globe to young ropers and seasoned competitors alike. She founded the #RopeLikeAGirl movement, which works with industry partners to empower women across the Western industry.
