Despite being out of the money in Round 3, Arizona's Janae Todacheenie took the average win at the 2023 INFR with a flawless catch percntage. She is the 2023 INFR World Champion Breakaway Roper.

At the 2023 Indian National Finals Rodeo, Oct. 24-28, world champions were crowned, and Indian Wells, Arizona’s Janae Todacheenie took the title after clocking an aggregate time of 10.49 seconds on four calves, worth $4,677 for the average.

On the first night of the 2023 INFR, held at the South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Todacheenie kicked off her National Finals breakaway run with a 2.57-second Round 1 win. When the Navajo cowgirl took third place in Round 2 with 2.6-second time, she established herself as the leader in the average—a position she maintained through Round 3, despite being out of the money by 0.02 seconds with a time of 2.78.

In the 2023 INFR Championship Round, Todacheenie sealed the average win with a second-place finish of 2.54 seconds.

The 47th Annual Indian National Finals Rodeo takes place at the South Point Equestrian Center, Oct. 24-28, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
