As the ProRodeo season moves deeper into the summer run, the race to the top of the breakaway circuit standings is heating up across all 13 WPRA regions.
Each circuit leader is not only fighting for year-end titles but also a coveted spot at the NFR Open, where the best in each region square off for major money and national recognition.
The breakaway circuit standings highlight the most consistent ropers in each region, balancing talent, horsepower, and a demanding travel schedule. From the Mountain States to the Southeastern Circuit, these leaders are setting the tone for the 2025 season.

Badlands
Samantha Fulton, $13,612
Fulton leads the Badlands Circuit by approximately $3,500, but peers Sierra Lee, Tanegai Zilverberg and Rickie Fanning are still within striking distance, only needing a strong weekend or two of rodeoing to make up the ground.
Some of Fulton’s summertime circuit checks include a win at the Western Fest Stampede in Granite Falls, Minnesota, with a 1.9-second run worth $2,017. She also picked up a check in Mandan over Cowboy Christmas with a 2.4-second run worth $1,150.
California
Suzanne Williams, $22,868
Williams has continued her early dominance on the California Circuit, currently leading No. 2 Rylee George by about $10,000. Some of Williams’ top wins include a tie for No. 1 at the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo with a 2.2-second run, worth $3,807. Her earnings have slowed down a bit since she’s started hitting more rodeos outside the circuit in her quest for an NFBR berth—becoming the No. 2 high money earner over Cowboy Christmas with $16,147 won.
Columbia River
Josie Goodrich, $12,261
The Columbia River is a closer race than the proceeding circuits, with No. 2 Courtney Crum approximately $2,000 behind Goodrich.
Goodrich has been striking here and there on the summer run, notably rounding up $5,287 at the Reno Rodeo in Nevada (not counting towards her circuit.) And a win at the Cle Elum Roundup in Washington for $1,405.
First Frontier
Shayne Vallone, $3,394
The First Frontier ladies are making the most of their limited rodeo opportunities, with Shayne Vallone leading the charge—by nearly $1,000.
On her heels is fellow New York state resident Sierra Clement with $2,238.
Great Lakes
Alli Masters, $14,085
Great Lakes regular Alli Masters is leading the circuit by about $6,000. In 2022, Masters swept both the year-end and average titles on the Circuit, and is setting herself up for another strong showing.
Recent checks for Masters include a win at the co-approved Wahoo Saddle Club PRCA Rodeo in Nebraska for a $1,608 payday. She also picked up $686 at the co-approved Kaw Valley Rodeo in Kansas.
Maple Leaf
Bradi Whiteside, $19,060
Double threat Bradi Whiteside leads the Northern-most circuit, with a co-championship at the Raymond Stampede in Alberta for $1,865.
Two recent non-circuit paydays Whiteside collected includes a Round 1 win at the Ponoka Stampede in Alberta for $1,187 and $2,625 payday in a go-round of the NFR Open in Colorado Springs.
Montana
Celie Salmond, $11,203
While the WPRA’s standings haven’t been officially updated, it appears Celie Salmond has overtaken No. 1 Dusti Bird on the Montana Circuit standings with checks at the Last Chance Stampede in Helena for $2,055 and the Central Montana PRCA Rodeo in Lewistown for $1,401.
Some of Bird’s recent winnings include a No. 1 finish at the Rodeo Roundup in Montana for $1,719, a No. 4 finish in Browning, Montana for $1,071 and $2,231 in Bigfork.
Mountain States
Haiden Thompson, $18,403
Resistol Rookie Haiden Thompson has a $9,000 lead on her Mountain States Circuit peers, bolstered by a big win at the Rooftop Rodeo in Estes Park, Colorado for $4,249. A No. 1 finish in Gunnison for $3,290 and checks in Sheridan and Casper, Wyoming, brought her to her current total.
Prairie
Taylor Munsell, $13,016
2024 Prairie Circuit Year-End Champion Taylor Munsell did her homework before heading out for the summer run on her home circuit, currently fending off challenger Taylor Raupe by about $2,000.
Munsell won the co-approved Mt. Pleasant Rodeo in Texas for $2,760, Durant, Oklahoma for $2,487 and split the Woodward Elks Rodeo in Oklahoma with Josie Conner and Summer Williams for $4,046.
Southeastern
Josey Murphy, $14,928
Josey Murphy may be leading her circuit, but the 2023 California Rodeo Salinas Champion patrolled the Texas Circuit throughout June and hit a few places in July, too, catching a check in the Wildcard Round of Cheyenne Frontier Days and Gordon, Nebraska. Summertime circuit-related checks for Murphy include $511 at the co-approved Gladewater Round-Up in Texas.
Texas
Britta Strain, $15,806
Britta Strain leads a tightly-packed field of Texas breakaway ropers with Martha Angelone and Aspen Miller less than $500 behind her. Strain won most of her circuit money in the spring, picking up summertime checks in Woodward, Oklahoma, St. Paul, Oregon and Lewistown, Montana.
Turquoise
Bailey Bates, $8,072
Bailey Bates is on top in the Turquoise Circuit, but only holds a $800 lead over peer Maddy Deerman. Bates picked up a circuit check at Window Rock ($875) before heading out on the summer run, where she collected paydays at St. Paul, Oregon, ($6,011) Cheyenne Frontier Days ($12,626).
