Chloe Lambert, of Stephenville, Texas, roped three calves in 7.41 seconds to win the Total Feeds Open Breakaway at the 2026 Cinch USTRC National Finals, earning $14,000.

For Lambert, 24, the win came down to confidence, consistency and a setup that fit her game.

“It’s kind of my style of setup roping,” Lambert said. “Every calf was right out in front of me, and my horse just put me right there.”

She opened with a 2.56, followed with a 2.24 — good enough to split third in the round — and finished with a 2.61 to secure the win.

“I just kept trying to make each run work,” Lambert said. “My horse was really good all day.”

Lambert rode her 13-year-old mare “Rosie,” a horse she credits with helping shape her as a roper.

“She’s honestly taught me how to rope,” Lambert said.

The win also reflects a shift in her mindset.

“I think I’ve just gotten a lot closer with God,” she said. “I just kept praying the entire time.”

With a strong group of friends around her and momentum on her side, Lambert is keeping it simple — jackpotting, staying sharp and enjoying it.

Martha (Angelone) and I work so hard and she has taught me so much about staying aggressive and consistent. Hours on the dummy and constantly working on our horses. You just don’t get this level of practice and competition anywhere in the world like here in Texas”, Lambert said. “I called home and told my parents it was just another $14,000 Wednesday in Texas and we all had a good laugh.”
