Mid-Spring Rookie Check-In: a Clear No. 1, Wide-Open Race Behind Her

Jaci Hammons has created serious separation at the top of the 2026 Resistol Rookie standings with $30,543 lead over No. 2—then the race is wide open as the spring and summer rodeos approach.

At the midpoint of the 2026 season, Jaci Hammons leads the Resistol Rookie standings at $49,772.83—more than $30,000 ahead of the No. 2 Kirby Rawlinson—while the rest of the field remains tightly packed behind them.

The Dublin, Texas, cowgirl built her lead with big wins across the Texas Swing and hasn’t let off the gas. Her biggest payday came at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, where she collected a total of $25,319 after earning checks in Round 2, Round 3, the Semifinals and finishing it off with a win in the finals.

She’s backed it up by adding money at RodeoHouston and Rodeo Austin, continuing to stack earnings at the biggest rodeos of the winter run.

Behind her, Rawlinson has put together one of the most consistent rookie seasons among the rookies.

The 25-year-old from Waller, Texas, has earned $19,238.83 so far, picking up checks at Fort Worth’s PRCA Rookie Event, RodeoHouston and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, along with an early-season win at Rosenberg.

After those two, the Resistol Rookie race opens up.

From No. 3 down, the standings tighten and the results tell a different story—wins and paydays are coming from all over the rookie class. Week to week, it’s a different name cashing in, and consistency is becoming just as important as finding the winner’s circle.
