The 2025 Women’s Rodeo Championships (WRC) is taking place May 12–14 and 17th in Fort Worth and Arlington Texas, and the leaderboards are starting to get crowded with ropers vying for a spot in Cowtown Coliseum.

With three robust divisions for breakaway ropers this year, there are chances for ropers of all levels to participate.

The Pro division is filled with familiar faces including WRC mainstay Martha Angelone, reigning WRC heeling World Champion Jackie Crawford and 2024 finalist Jordan Jo Hollabaugh.

In the Challenger division, there’s Karrigan Cagley, who competed against some of the best ProRodeo girls in the business at the San Diego Rodeo in January. Joining her is college rodeo alum Catherine Clayton, who’s gaining steam in breakaway roping after focusing on goat tying for several years.

And in the Limited division, the next generation of breakaway ropers are getting their feet wet with tough competition. Kieley Walz’s sister Kinsey is among them, as is reigning WRC Breakaway Champion Amy Ohrt.

Nominations for the 2025 WRC close April 13, and there’s an opportunity for ropers to double the number of points they receive with up to four nominations from March 3–30.
