Haiden Thompson had a record-breaking Cowboy Christmas as far as breakaway money was concerned, winning a huge $24,023 across six rodeos, leading the field by $2,486 and putting herself $408 ahead of barrel racing’s top earner of the week.

Thompson’s total came from six stops: a share of the five-way tie for first at St. Paul, Oregon, worth $7,978; a win at Mandan, North Dakota, worth $6,641; $3,897 from Greeley, Colorado; $3,315 from Prescott, Arizona; $1,261 from Cody, Wyoming; and a $931 share from Killdeer, North Dakota.

The reigning Resistol Rookie of the Year earnings topped barrel racing’s earnings tally for the same stretch: Michelle Alley led all barrel racers with $23,615 (per BarrelRacing.com’s unofficial numbers) and Thompson’s $24,023 cleared that by $408—that is the equal money these cowgirls have been working for.

No. 2 – 10 Earners

Jordi Edens-Mitchell was the No. 2 earner with $21,537 across three rodeos. Her total came from the same five-way tie in St. Paul, worth $7,978; wins in both Round 2 and the average in Prescott, worth $7,333; and a Round 1 check, a second-place finish in the finals, and a share of average at Greeley.

One of the most impressive story lines of the week was Falyn Thomson, who won $17,703 at one single rodeo. The cowgirl made the most of her trip to Ponoka, Alberta, winning Round 2, finishing second in the finals, and closing out the week with wins in both the showdown and the average.

Danielle Lowman banked $17,551 across five rodeos—Greeley, Prescott, Mandan, Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and Cody, Wyoming—with her Greeley run alone worth more than $10,000 of the total.

Josie Conner rounded out the top five with $16,337 across four rodeos, most of it built on that same St. Paul tie, plus checks from Prescott; Oakley, Utah; and Red Lodge, Montana.

Bradi Good cashed in $16,001 across five rodeos. Her total came from a $7,907 No. 2 finish at Oakley and was rounded out with checks from Greeley, Prescott, Red Lodge and Cody.

Martha Angelone brought home $13,587 from four rodeos: Prescott, St. Paul, Cody and Basin City, Washington.

Hali Williams cashed in $12,575 from just two rodeos—Greeley and Cody.

Summer Williams won $12,484 across four rodeos: St. Paul, Cody Basin City and West Jordan, Utah.

Rounding out the top 10 was Cadee Williams, and banked $10,981 from just two rodeos—both of wich were tied wins. She split the win at Red Lodge, for $3,539, then split it again in a four-way tie at Cody, worth $7,442.
