The 2024 WCRA Rodeo Carolina breakaway roster is stacked with World Champions, newcomers, and more that’ll make the second edition of the $400K event a must-watch affair.
WCRA Rodeo Carolina is the richest rodeo event east of the Mississippi and will take place Oct. 3-5 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort.
The event has some added significance, too, since it will determine the first breakaway athlete competing on the WCRA’s team, The Free Riders, at the 2025 Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo.
Jackie Crawford and Keslie Domer’s new WCRA venture
For the first time at a WCRA event outside of the WRWC, a women’s team roping duo will compete as 23-time World Champion Jackie Crawford heads and nine-time World Champion Kelsie Domer heels.
Crawford and Domer are two of the highest-earning athletes in WCRA, with Crawford nearing the $300,000 mark while Domer’s earnings exceed $189,000.
The team roping pair will be competing in breakaway, too, alongside 35 other breakaway ropers.
