Jenna Lee Adams placed in both rounds at the 2025 Prairie Circuit Finals in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to claim the average title with a 7.1-second time on two head, winning $6,451.
“I just went into the finals with a game plan of see the start, rope the neck, and whatever happens, happens. It was a nice ending to the weekend,” Adams said of the win.
She also credited the Prairie Circuit board and directors for making the finals happen after a postponement.
“They worked hard to get that done and get a place for us, a warm place,” Adams said.
With her horse Tarzan loaded, Adams made the trip north and capitalized on the weekend. In a circuit with stiff competition including reigning World Champion Taylor Munsell and 2023 NFBR Average Champion Cheyanne McCartney, Adams didn’t let it faze her.
“I just try not to worry about what other people do. It’s between me and that calf,” Adams said.
Having the same game plan every run and solid horsepower is what Adams relies on. Riding Tarzan, which she’s partnered with for five years, helped her nail the start on the wider setup with the strong calves.
“He’s easy to ride. You can get out in the stirrup, you can do whatever, he’s just going to let you throw your rope,” says Adams.
Adams, who runs cattle in Weatherford, Oklahoma, has built her career around the Prairie Circuit and stays close to home most of the year. But after a weekend like this, she may branch out in 2026.
“Since I got a little bit of momentum, maybe go to some other rodeos I normally wouldn’t go to,” Adams said. “Just see how that goes.”
