Hey baby let's go to Vegas
Las Vegas Patriot Promises Ropings for Everyone from Youth to College and Open

Las Vegas is about to be buzzing with more than just the NFR lights—The Patriot Las Vegas is returning December 5–13, 2025, with action split between Horseman’s Park and The Plaza.

A Full Slate of Patriot Action

The week-long event will showcase both youth and open competitors across two arenas at Horseman’s Park. From barrel racing and pole bending to tie-down roping, breakaway, steer wrestling, goats and team roping, the Hooey Jr Patriot Events will highlight rodeo’s rising stars.

Athletes can also expect a slate of specialty ropings, including the 10.5 Ladies & Legends Truck Roping, the 10.5 Any Age Team Roping, the 9.5 Any Age Jeep Roping, and the 8.5 Any Age Saddle Roping. Open and 10.5 Junior World Finals Team Roping will feature four full rounds and a short round, setting the stage for the Hooey Jr Semi-Finals and Finals.

The Plaza Brings Even More

The Plaza Hotel will serve as another hot spot for competition December 5–13. It’s home to the Ranch Sorting National Championship event, last chance tie-down and breakaway qualifiers, stock dog trials, and the Patriot College Showdown.

Tie-Down & Breakaway Schedule

The Hooey Jr Patriot Tie-Down and Breakaway ropers will battle it out from December 9–13 with qualifiers, semi-finals, and finals.

Tuesday, Dec. 9: Last Chance Qualifiers in tie-down and breakaway at The Plaza

Wednesday, Dec. 10: 19U Tie-Down Qualifier at The Plaza

Thursday, Dec. 11: 12U and 15U Semi-Finals at Horseman’s Park plus last chance rounds at The Plaza

Friday, Dec. 12: 12U, 15U and 19U Semi-Finals continue at Horseman’s Park

Saturday, Dec. 13: Hooey Jr Patriot Finals at Horseman’s Park

With divisions ranging from 12U through 19U, the Patriot provides opportunities for young ropers to compete on one of the sport’s biggest stages. Each semi-final format will advance the top competitors into championship rounds, with high stakes on the line in Vegas.

Why It Matters

The Patriot Las Vegas has grown into one of the premier youth and open rodeo events, offering not only big payouts and unique prizes but also the chance for young athletes to rope, ride and compete alongside the best in the game.

With tie-down, breakaway, barrels, team roping and more, this December in Vegas will be about much more than the bright lights of the Thomas & Mack—it’ll be about the next generation chasing their shot at glory at The Patriot.
