Cowboy Christmas has come and come on the 2022 ProRodeo trail, and at BRJ we did our best to keep you up to speed on all of the rodeos going on across the US and Canada.
Unofficially, here are your top five money-earning breakaway ropers over Cowboy Christmas.
5. Taylor Munsell’s second-place finish in Oakley, Utah, was worth $5,110, and when added to her round placings in Prescott, Arizona, brought her to a solid $9,214 for her Fourth of July run.
4. Reigning WPRA World Champion Sawyer Gilbert was hot on Williams’ heels in Mandan with a 2.3-second run. She also pulled checks in Cody, Wyoming, Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and Greeley, Colorado, to rake in a total of $10,796.
3. The Greeley Stampede was good to Rickie Engesser. She was rock solid in the aggregate to earn the win, and placed in both go-rounds and the finals. Her $8,140 helped propel her to placings in Killdeer, North Dakota, and Oakley, Utah, which brought her total earnings to $12,675.
2. Taylor Hanchey picked up six checks over the Fourth, winning BIG in Cody with a 2.3 second run worth $4,286 for 2.3 seconds worth of work. The Badlands were her sweet spot where she placed at Mandan, Belle Fourche and Killdeer, and she placed in the second round and the average at Prescott, too. That brought her total to $14,248.
- Coming in at No. 1 is Jordi Edens. Not only did Edens cash $6,387 and $4,426 checks for her 2.0 and 2.4-second runs in Oakley and Belle Fourche, she placed in both rounds and the aggregate in Prescott to pull in an impressive $15,500 over Cowboy Christmas.
