Zoie Bedke is headed to the NFR Open in 2024 thanks a year-end championship on the Wilderness Circuit throughout 2023, picking up her last check at the Circuit Finals Nov. 3-4, 2023, in Heber City, Utah, bringing her total to $19,262.
The 22-year-old college student has been ProRodeoing for four years, mostly sticking to circuit competition.
BRJ: What were you biggest circuit wins of the season?
ZB: The Days of ’47 in Salt Lake was my biggest win, I won $2,064 there. I also won $2,106 at the Meridian Lions Rodeo in Idaho and caught at check in Nampa at the Snake River Stampede.
Who was your main horse this year?
This year I mostly rode my good horse Pip. I’ve been riding him forever, it seems like. We really click well. He’s got a shorter neck so he’s easy to rope on, and he’s quick across the line.
With Colorado Springs on the horizon, is that changing your 2024 plans?
I want to finish college before rodeoing hard. I am graduating in May with a degree in Physical Therapy and I plan to get a job in that. I might hit a few more rodeos outside the circuit, with Colorado Springs and everything.
