COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 30) – The 2022 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Teton Ridge returns to Las Vegas for the second consecutive year to crown a world champion this November and tickets are now on sale.

This year’s event produced by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) will be held at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center, Nov. 29-30.

General admission tickets are $30 each day, with reserve admission tickets available for $45 per day. Tickets can be purchased online at southpointarena.com or ticketmaster.com, by phone at 866-796-7111 or at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa box office. “We are excited that tickets are now on sale for the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping and encourage everyone to get your tickets today and come support these ladies,” said Jimmie Munroe, WPRA President. “We are looking forward to showcasing our top ladies at the South Point Arena and recognizing our 2022 WPRA World Champion Breakaway Roper.”

The top 15 breakaway ropers as of Sept. 30, will compete for prize money of $250,000 during the two day, 10-round performance. Martha Angelone, who will be making her third appearance at the NFBR, will lead the way as the No. 1 ranked roper and she will be looking for her first world title. She was the reserve world champion in 2020, the first year the NFBR was held in Arlington, Texas.

The South Point has long been known as Vegas Cowboy Central between Thanksgiving and Christmas and is now expanding that footprint to also be known as Vegas Cowgirl Central. NFBR fans can also take advantage of the current room and ticket package that South Point Hotel and Casino is offering. The package includes a two-night stay – Nov. 29-30 in a deluxe guest room and two general admission tickets to both NFBR performances. The package costs $299 and can only be purchased by calling 866-796-7111 and mention offer code BREAKPK. Please note these rooms can not be extended past Nov. 30.

“We are excited to welcome the ladies of the WPRA and their fans to the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center for this world championship event,” said Ryan Growney, General Manager of the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. “This will be an exciting event to kick off all the NFR festivities as there is no faster event in rodeo than breakaway roping.”

The 2020 National Finals Breakaway Roping took place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, in conjunction with the NFR and Jackie Crawford was crowned the world champion. In 2021, the NFBR took place in Las Vegas at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and was won by Sawyer Gilbert.
