The unofficial Top 15 for the 2025 NFBR is set after a record-breaking summer and a dramatic finale in Sioux Falls that shuffled the standings in the final days of the season.
Breakaway’s growth shows clearly in the numbers. In 2024, it took $77,756 to qualify, and Shelby Boisjoli-Meged led the field with $146,664. This year, the cutoff jumped to $99,983 and the top spot to $191,175—making breakaway the fastest-growing sport in ProRodeo.

Taylor Munsell leads the field after a season defined by consistency and clutch wins. The RodeoHouston Champion and Prairie Circuit powerhouse held the top spot early, slipped behind Shelby Boisjoli-Meged in August, then surged back at the Governor’s Cup. Her $14,422 payday in Sioux Falls vaulted her to No. 1.
Josie Conner claimed the No. 2 position with a late-season charge. She trailed Munsell and Meged—both bolstered by $50,000 major-event wins—but narrowed the gap with a $24,000 check in Sioux Falls and another $3,027 at the Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo in Texas.
Shelby Boisjoli-Meged sits third with $178,537. After missing the Governor’s Cup, which she won in both 2023 and 2024, Meged now turns her attention to Las Vegas, eager to chase another NFBR gold buckle.

From No. 4 through No. 15, only $35,095 separates the qualifiers, underscoring just how fierce the 2025 breakaway season became. Rylee George at No. 4 through Beau Peterson at No. 9 are packed within $14,958 of each other, creating one of the closest mid-field battles in recent memory.
From there, the standings drop by about $10,000 to No. 10, where Joey Williams holds steady with $110,550. Williams leads the final group into Las Vegas, while Macy Young secured the last qualifying spot at No. 15 with $99,983—just $9,784 behind Brennise.
Martha Angelone mounted a last-minute push in Sioux Falls but fell short by less than $1,000, finishing just outside the Top 15.
