An embryo by Third Edge and out of $592,448-earner Tres Chasin Babe PZ will sell April 11 at the Old West Horse Sale, with 100% of proceeds going to Kelsie Domer and her family following the loss of her daughter, Oaklynn.

https://cci.live/The sale begins at 6:30 p.m. CST and will stream on CCI.live. The Old West event schedule also included added-money opportunities for breakaway ropers.

The embryo is owned by Tres Amigos Partners—Redgie Probst and 3-String Cattle Co.; the Richard family of A&C Racing and Roping; , and Miguel Guerrero of Las Tunas Performance Horses—who purchased Tres Chasin Babe PZ at the 2025 Teton sale.

Third Edge is a 2018 red roan stallion by Metallic Rebel and out of Lil Rattler, a producer of more than $1.6 million. An NCHA Horse of the Year and Hall of Fame inductee, he earned $342,528 under Wesley Galyean.

Tres Chasin Babe PZ, a 2019 mare by Tres Seis out of Babe On The Chase (by Chasin Firewater), earned $592,448, with wins at the BFA World Futurity, Pink Buckle Futurity and Ruby Buckle Central Futurity.

The cross was designed with rope horse potential in mind, including the kind of speed and responsiveness required in the breakaway.

“When you put two champions like that together, it could be the ultimate rope horse,” Probst said.

Rhen Richard said the initial thought leaned toward a head horse, but the cross leaves room for multiple directions.

“I think we were just thinking head horse,” Richard said. “It’s exciting to think about what that cross has the opportunity to bring.”

For Probst, the decision to sell the embryo as a benefit is rooted in a personal connection to the Domer family.

Kelsie has been a family friend of ours for years,” he said. “What do you do for somebody who’s just lost a little girl? You don’t know. This is something we could do.”

The group also hopes the horse carries meaning beyond the sale ring.

“Whoever ends up with this horse, there’s going to be a piece of Oaklynn with it,” Probst said.

The embryo will sell as part of the Old West Horse Sale, with proceeds going directly to the Domer family.
