Cheyanne McCartney banked $28,849 across four rodeos this week, the most of anyone in breakaway roping, built almost entirely on her Cheyenne Frontier Days title. Here’s how all ten of the week’s top earners made their money.
1. Cheyanne McCartney — $28,849
McCartney’s week starts and ends with the Daddy of ’em All. She banked $16,864 at Cheyenne Frontier Days alone—a qualifying check, a semifinal win, and the $11,915 title—then added a first-place tie at Spanish Fork Fiesta Days worth $7,436 and $3,875 more at Ogden Pioneer Days. A $674 Days of ’47 check rounds out her week and pushes her projected world lead past $156,000.
2. Maddy Jacobs — $25,050
Jacobs split her week almost evenly between two rodeos. She placed third in the Days of ’47 finals for $8,000 and added a bracket win and an average check for $10,022 total there, then ran through Cheyenne Frontier Days—a semifinal runner-up finish and a bronze-medal finals check—for $10,293 more. Spanish Fork added another $4,735.
3. Beau Peterson — $24,845
Peterson’s week was almost entirely the Days of ’47. She was runner-up in both go-rounds of her bracket, good enough to advance, then won the finals outright for $18,000 and topped the average for $1,349—$20,697 from that rodeo alone. A semifinal runner-up finish at Cheyenne plus one qualifying check brought her Cheyenne total to $3,135, and she added $1,013 at Spanish Fork.
4. Jenna Dallyn — $16,409
Dallyn’s Cheyenne Frontier Days run was worth $14,162 by itself—a qualifying check, a semifinal win, and the $9,861 runner-up finals check behind McCartney. She added a $1,910 second-place check at Deadwood Days of ’76 and $337 at the Days of ’47.
5. Josie Conner — $14,750
Conner won the first round at Ogden Pioneer Days outright for $3,935 and split the average title with Danielle Lowman for $5,312 more—$9,837 from that rodeo. A qualifying-performance win at Cheyenne plus a fifth-place semifinal finish brought her Cheyenne total to $3,524, and she added $899 at the Days of ’47 and $490 at Spanish Fork.
6. Shelby Boisjoli-Meged — $13,900
Boisjoli-Meged’s whole week came from one rodeo: she was third in both go-rounds of her Days of ’47 bracket, then ran away with the silver medal in the finals for $13,000.
7. Danielle Lowman — $13,828
Lowman split the Ogden Pioneer Days average title with Josie Conner for $5,312 and added placings in both go-rounds worth $3,328 combined—$8,640 from Ogden alone. A $4,289 week at Spanish Fork and $899 at the Days of ’47 round out her total.
8. Kamie Jo Crouse — $12,370
Crouse strung together paydays across four rodeos. She won both the first round and the average at Deadwood Days of ’76 for $5,570, then won Nebraska’s Big Rodeo outright for $3,525. A Spanish Fork bracket win added $2,627, and a single Cheyenne qualifying check chipped in $648.
9. Hali Williams — $10,260
Williams cashed checks everywhere she went. A fourth-place finish in one Days of ’47 bracket round, a tie for the top spot in another, fourth in the finals, and a share of the average add up to $5,573 there. She added $3,213 at Ogden Pioneer Days, $956 at Spanish Fork, and $518 as a backfill entrant in a Cheyenne semifinal.
10. Avery Landry — $10,095
Landry’s best week came at Spanish Fork Fiesta Days, where a bracket win and a fourth-place average finish were worth $6,058. She added $3,082 at Ogden Pioneer Days and $955 at Deadwood Days of ’76 for a three-rodeo week worth $10,095.
