The 24-woman field for the 2025 Cinch Playoff Series in Puyallup, Washington, is set and for several breakaway ropers on the bubble, this stop could decide their NFBR fate.
Why does Puyallup matter? With $75,100 in the breakaway roping purse, one roper could earn $20,420 by winning both long rounds in her set and the Finals. Add a ticket to Sioux Falls into the mix and Puyallup becomes one of the most pivotal rodeos on the schedule.

Outside Puyallup Looking In
The top breakaway ropers did their homework, with 22 of the top 24 breakaway ropers advancing to Puyallup. The two ladies on the outside are Rickie Fanning and Summer Williams.
Rickie Fanning currently boasts $69,822 in earnings, sitting No. 17 in the World Standings. She’s $6,164 off of No. 15 Macy Young’s $75,986 mark and without a ticked to Puyallup, Fanning has some work to do to earn the cash and Playoff Series Points to make it into Sioux Falls.
Summer Williams is behind Fanning in the earnings with $60,974 won, but has about 40 more tour points. Only the rodeo results will tell what Williams will be able to get done as the ProRodeo season enters the homestretch.

How the Playoff Series Works
Points stack up all season long at designated rodeos like Odessa, San Antonio and Salinas. Top 20 finishers at each Playoff rodeo earn points, based on times and averages. Tournament-style rodeos award points by advancement.
The Top 23 in the Playoff Series standings plus the NFR Open champ qualify for Puyallup. From there, the Top 8 in the Playoff Series year-end standings and Top 4 out of Puyallup advance to the Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls.
The Puyallup cutoff hit Aug. 18. Sioux Falls closes Sept. 22, following the final stretch of Playoff Series rodeos. These are the remaining 2025 Playoff Series rodeos:
