Amy Ohrt took over the Resistol Rookie breakaway lead in the final week of the 2026 ProRodeo regular season. She cashed at four Texas rodeos for $4,133 and climbed to an unofficial $70,993, $2,402 ahead of Jaci Hammons.
Hammons came into the week leading the official rookie standings, stamped Sept. 22, by $1,730: $68,591 to Ohrt’s $66,860. Hammons’ total is the same one she carried on the Sept. 18 file. She didn’t place at any of the rodeos that finished in the last week.
Ohrt’s biggest check came in Amarillo, Texas. She went 2.0 to tie for second for $2,286, sharing the spot with fellow rookie Kirby Rawlinson. She added $1,247 for a 2.2 and a tie for fifth in Stephenville, Texas, and $423 for fifth in New Braunfels, Texas, with a 4.4. She also made $177 for 15th in Pasadena, Texas.
Part of Hammons’ old lead came the Resistol Rookie Roundup and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo’s Rookie Rally count toward the rookie standings but not the world standings. Hammons has $2,140 from them. In the Sept. 25 world standings, where that money is left out, Ohrt was already ahead, $66,860 to $66,451.
Behind the Top Two
Rawlinson’s Amarillo check moved her to an unofficial $48,258 at No. 3, $22,735 behind Ohrt. Avery Landry went 2.3 to tie for third in Pasadena for $2,032 and sits No. 4 at $38,648. Sage Dunlap cashed twice, a 2.2 for a tie for seventh in Amarillo ($924) and a 2.6 for sixth in Pasadena ($1,060). That moved her to $32,174 and past Kaidyn Holland for No. 5.
Jasmin Bakri was 10th in Pasadena with a 3.4 for $619, and Brooke Henry tied for 12th in Stephenville with a 2.5 for $249. In all, six rookies cashed for $11,303. The East Texas State Fair in Tyler runs through Sunday, and neither Ohrt nor Hammons is on its leaderboard so far. The regular season closes Sept. 30.
