The Breakaway Breakdown Podcast: Meet The Ladies Aiming for Their First NFBR

On this episode of The Breakaway Breakdown podcast, we sit down with Aspen Miller, Kinlie Brennise, Suzanne Williams, and Jenna Dallyn—the ropers writing their names into the record books for the very first time.

From seasoned veterans chasing long-awaited dreams to young guns finding their stride in only their second ProRodeo season, each woman brings grit, horsepower, and resilience to the toughest stage in breakaway roping as they jostle for Las Vegas positioning.

🎙️ Listen now to hear how these four women are handling the pressure, leaning on their support systems, and preparing for the bright lights of Las Vegas.

Aspen Miller: Staying Solid

Currently sitting inside the top ten, Miller has embraced consistency over flash, leaning on her horses Jigsaw and Iggy to keep her steady.

“It’s about taking it one calf at a time and not overdoing it,” she shared, reflecting on how her mindset shift has made her a stronger average roper.

Kinlie Brennise: Finding Her Groove

With $97,000 won in just her second full season, Brennise has discovered the power of trusting her horse Rio and refining her scoring game.

“One run at a time—that’s been my focus all year,” she said, crediting her traveling partners and family for keeping her grounded.

Suzanne Williams: Balancing Life and Rodeo

At 42, Williams is proving that NFBR dreams don’t have an expiration date. Between coaching, raising her son, and hauling with a string of calf-roping horses, she’s kept herself in striking distance of Vegas.

“I’ve been waiting 20 years for this chance,” Williams admitted.

Jenna Dallyn: Riding Doc to the Top

The Canadian cowgirl has built her season around one horse—her gelding Doc—and it’s paying off with nearly $88,000 banked.

“He was supposed to be a backup heel horse, but he’s turned into everything for me,” she said, after hauling across both countries to keep herself in the mix.
