The Pink and Ruby Buckle Breakaway will offer three different divisions:
6-&-Under Breakaway: Open to Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle, and Young Guns horses only, with a guaranteed $25,000 payout. The format includes two go-rounds and a short go.
$10,000 added Open breakaway sponsored by HayChix: Open to all horses and ropers of all ages. The entry fee is $750 with an 80% payback. The event consists of two go-rounds and a tiered short-go payout structure, where all ropers who catch in both rounds will advance. The top half of short-go qualifiers will compete in Tier 1, while the remaining half will be in Tier 2.

$25,000-Guaranteed Open Side Pot: Exclusively available to Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle, and Young Guns horses at no additional charge, this side pot will run alongside the Open Breakaway.
Pink and Ruby Buckle’s staff emphasized that the event is a direct response to the increasing demand for breakaway roping opportunities within the stallion incentive programs, acknowledging the explosive growth of breakaway roping at all levels of competition.
