The 2023 Riata Buckle Breakaway Roping challenged breakaway ropers on a long score at the Lazy E Arena Nov. 2, 2023, offering a purse of more than $100,000.
Dozens of ropers entered to take advantage of the tiered format, which divided ropers by time into clean slate short rounds. The Gold and Platinum short rounds paid five holes each, while the futurity acted as a sidepot incentive throughout the competition.
