The 2024 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo’s breakaway competition is just beginning, but the names on the daysheets promise an electrifying ride.

Running from Feb, 8–24, this year is the rodeo’s third year of including breakaway.

The last two world champions took San Antonio ahead of their eventual world title. In 2022, Martha Angelone took the title, while in 2023, Shelby (Boisjoli) Meged won.

The top four money winners advance to a Semifinal Round and the top five out of each Semifinal advance to the Finals. The most money earned at the end of the Finals will be crowned the San Antonio Rodeo Champion

Rodeo Wildcard

On Saturday, February 24 at 12:00 PM, the 10 contestants in each event who did not advance to the Finals from the Semifinal will have one more chance to make it into the Finals. The highest score and fastest time wins.
