Breakaway futurity horses are fueling a new generation of growth in the roping industry, supplying ProRodeo and jackpot competitors with seasoned horses featuring a good handle.
With that growth, a handful of ropers have been making a name for themselves within the ranks, including Beau Peterson, Cheyanne McCartney and Sarah Angelone.
With the 2025 breakaway futurity season fast approaching, The Breakaway Roping Journal visited with these trainers to see which breakaway futurity horses are on their short list for 2025.
