Bradi Whiteside rolls into the 2026 Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) as the breakaway roping No. 1 for the second straight year, carrying a record $42,557.61 in regular-season earnings into Edmonton’s Rogers Place, Oct. 7-10.
The defending Canadian champion leads Nanton, Alberta’s Jenna Dallyn by $3,556.17—the same cowgirl Whiteside edged for her first title in this building a year ago. Twelve cowgirls, five performances, one Canadian title.

Storylines to Watch
Whiteside’s repeat bid. The Longview, Alberta, cowgirl is also chasing her fourth All-Around Cowgirl title, and she’s doing it on Teacher, the three-time Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) Breakaway Roping Horse of the Year owned by her partner, Ben Bamford. “I’m really working at not overthinking things and sort of overdoing it,” Whiteside told the CPRA.
Dallyn’s shot. Dallyn came within a whisker of qualifying for the 2026 National Finals Breakaway Roping (NFBR). Now she’s the closest cowgirl to Whiteside with a Canadian title on the line.
Sister act. Kylie Whiteside, Bradi’s older sister, sits No. 3 and has roped at every CFR since breakaway joined the lineup. The Whiteside sisters have won every All-Around Cowgirl title since the award began five years ago.
Champions in the field. Shaya Biever, the 2023 Canadian champion, is making her fifth CFR trip. “(My goal is) just touch every calf and see where it gets me,” she told the Stettler Independent. Former champ Kendal Pierson is in the mix at No. 7.
Youth movement. Ponoka’s Keely Pugh, 17, is back for her second straight CFR—up from No. 12 as a 16-year-old rookie to No. 4 this year.
Also in the hunt. Lawrie Neal, the 2024 season leader, makes her third CFR. Spring Hill, Kansas’s Caitlyn Dahm is the lone American in the field.
