Bradi Good, of Abilene, Texas, finished strong in the third performance of the WCRA Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo semi-finals on Friday, July 22.

Good, 20, was the last breakaway roper out during the performance and stopped the clock in 3.11 seconds to win the performance, worth $1,600, and advanced to the Gold Medal Round on Monday, July 25.

“This year it was a little faster, so we just had to see the calf go through them, and for me, I like that cause then you get a faster chance at it and so it’s always fun to rope here,” Good said. “I was last out and I didn’t think that our perf was gonna fall apart like it kind of did so I gotta see what I had to do and I just made a run that I knew would get back.”

Good rode her 13-year-old sorrel gelding Rango, whom she purchased from seven-time NFR qualifier Timber Moore.

“He was a tie-down horse and he is super fast, longer setups were really his setups, but he worked right tonight,” Good said.

After winning bronze at the 2021 DO47, Good is eyeing the gold and $25,000 prize money on Monday night.

The final spot in the Gold Medal round will be determined by the round winner tonight, along with the three wild cards determined before Monday night’s performance.
