Eight rodeos paid out $195,667 between Sept. 13 and Sept. 20, and the cutline moved twice inside a day. Tanner took the seat Saturday on Pendleton money and led by $860. By Sunday evening she was No. 17.

Mandan Settled It
Cheyanne McCartney was 1.8 to win Mandan, North Dakota, in an arena record setting fashion for $12,464 and pushed her season money past $194,000. Behind her, the Rough Rider Cup paid out to a variety of cowgirls—some already inside the top 10, some outside of the top 20 and all the girls on the bubble.
Good was 2.4 for a share of 11th and $1,714. Peterson was 2.4 for the same check. Tanner did not place.

Boisjoli-Meged Won the Week
Shelby Boisjoli-Meged took $11,430 at Pendleton, $9,037 at Mandan and $1,923 at Abilene for $22,390—more than anyone won anywhere this week, and enough to carry her from No. 15 to No. 10. A week ago she was the cowgirl on the bubble. She is clear of it now by better than $19,000.
Good made up the most ground. She cashed at Pendleton three ways, went 2.0 to win at home in Abilene, Texas, and added the Mandan check—$13,388 across the week and a climb from No. 20 to No. 15.

Nine breakaway rodeos are still to pay before Sept. 30. Pasadena, Texas, runs to Sept. 25; Poway, California, adds $8,000; Amarillo, Texas, $6,000; and Stephenville and Tyler, Texas, $5,000 apiece, with New Braunfels, Texa;, Bunnell, Florida; Cumberland, Maine, and San Bernardino, California, behind them. Any one of them covers what Peterson and Tanner need.
Sioux Falls is the tenth and the one they cannot enter. The Governor’s Cup adds $166,666 to a 12-roper field—the top eight in Cinch Playoff points on Sept. 21 plus Puyallup’s four. Martha Angelone sits seventh in those points. Peterson is 11th and Tanner 13th.
