BOULDER, COLORADO (Sept. 1, 2021)—After a summer of filming, the subscription streaming site BreakawayRoping.com launched Sept. 1. The new on-demand video platform was created by the staff of The Breakaway Roping Journal in partnership with eight-time Women’s Professional Rodeo Association World Champion Lari Dee Guy.

With hundreds of videos releasing over the next six months, BreakawayRoping.com offers courses on the basics of breakaway roping as well as elite tuning with the likes of WPRA World Champion Hope Thompson, RFD-TV’s The American Champion Madison Outhier, jackpot standouts Josie Conner and Aspen Miller, college rodeo coach Linsay Sumpter and the King of the Cowboys, Trevor Brazile.

“Our goal with BreakawayRoping.com was to bring together the leaders of the sport, talking through and demonstrating the specific skills that set each one possesses and passing those talents along,” Guy said. “This is the type of instruction that will drive the sport forward, giving the grassroots access to education that’s necessary for breakaway to continue to grow.”

Ropers will find videos covering tack and gear, confidence and mental performance and arena set up, as well as core instruction on the basic elements of breakaway roping and horsemanship. Subscribers will also have access to never-before-seen coaching with Lari Dee Guy and Trevor Brazile together, breaking down the finer points of breakaway roping in the finest detail.

“From parents who are helping fuel their children’s passions to top talent looking for tips to gain that mental edge or beginners of any age looking to start roping necks for the first time, our team wanted to create a resource to help guide the way,” said Chelsea Shaffer, editorial director for The Breakaway Roping Journal. “BreakawayRoping.com gives ropers access to true role models, and it provides the framework and the courses to take the guessing out of helping succeed in the arena.”

The site offers 50 videos on its Sept. 1 launch and will continue to release two videos per week via its website, email and mobile app. BreakawayRoping.com is available on all streaming devices for $29.99 per month.
