Emmry Edwards Is Going To Arlington After a Big Win At The American Rodeo’s Eastern Regionals

A 2.06-second run in the finals punched Emmry Edwards' ticket to Arlington to round out the first of three reginal semifinals for the 2026 American Contender field.

Emmry Edwards’ topped the field at the first of three 2026 American Rodeo Regional Qualifiers in Lexington, Kentucky, with a 2.06-second run in the finals on April 11, 2026, earning $14,446 and advancing to The American Rodeo Championship Weekend in Arlington, Texas, May 22-23.

Lexington was the first of three regional semifinals on the road to The American Rodeo and has set the tone for how the next month will play out.

The American Rodeo has its own unique format. Athletes advanced to the Eastern Semifinals through The American Rodeo’s open qualifier system, which runs nationwide and gives ropers at every level a shot to earn their way in. The field also includes competitors ranked No. 6–20 in the prior year’s PRCA world standings, stacking the draw with both up-and-comers and proven names.
