The field was set for the 2025 Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls, where 12 breakaway ropers battled for their share of $155,555 in added money to close out the ProRodeo season.

The Cinch Playoffs – Governor’s Cup took place September 26–28, 2025, inside the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The three-performance event featured rounds on Friday and Saturday evenings, with the Finals held Sunday afternoon. The format challenged ropers with two go-rounds, a semifinal, and a final, ultimately determining who left Sioux Falls with critical checks and momentum heading into the National Finals Breakaway Roping.

Governor’s Cup, Sioux Falls Results

First round: 1. (tie) Rylee A George and Taylor Munsell, 2.7 seconds, $10,422 each; 3. Beau Peterson, 2.8, $5,956; 4. (tie) Maddy Deerman and Cheyanne McCartney, 2.9, $1,489 each; 6. Aspen Miller, 3.3; 7. Josie Conner, 3.5; 8. Bailey Bates, Macy Young, Martha Angelone, Hali Williams and Zoie Bedke, NT.

Round 1 saw a few changes atop the breakaway World Standings, with Taylor Munsell overtaking No. 1 Shelby Boisjoli-Meged by approximately $8,000. Munsell posted a 2.7-second time to tie with Rylee George, both earning more than $10K. George rose to No. 5 in the standings with $127,078 won, overtaking Maddy Deerman.

Second round: 1. (tie) Martha Angelone and Aspen Miller, 2.4 seconds, $10,422 each; 3. Cheyanne McCartney, 2.5, $5,956; 4. Bailey Bates, 2.7, $2,978; 5. Taylor Munsell, 2.8; 6. Josie Conner, 11.8; 7. Maddy Deerman, 12.1; 8. Zoie Bedke, 12.2; 9. Rylee George, Hali Williams, Beau Peterson and Mady Young, NT.

The second round was a do-or-die moment for Bailey Bates and Martha Angelone—both on the outside of the Top 15 looking in. They stepped up to the plate, Angelone tying for the round win with Aspen Miller and Bates sneaking into the last hole for a paycheck and a ticket to sunday’s performance.

1. Rylee George, 2.2 seconds; 2. (tie) Bailey Bates and Josie Conner, 2.6 each; 4. Martha Angelone, 12.4; 5. Maddy Deerman, Aspen Miller, Taylor Munsell and Cheyanne McCartney, NT, $4,000 each.

1. Bailey Bates, 2.1, $32,000; 3. Josie Conner, 2.5, $24,000; 4. Martha Angelone, 12.1, $16,000; 4. Rylee George, NT, $8,000.
