Boulder, Colo.—August 31, 2022 – The Team Roping Journal, Barrel Racing Magazine and The Breakaway Roping Journal are coming together to celebrate the inaugural Women in Rodeo Month, set for September 2022.

With the help of title sponsor Durango, the month of September will focus on legendary women who have made rodeo what it is today, as well as showcasing the current women in rodeo who continue to push the sports forward.

“Durango Boots is excited to partner with The Team Roping Journal, Barrel Racing Magazine and The Breakaway Roping Journal to celebrate the inaugural Women in Rodeo Month,” said Erin DeLong, Durango Boots marketing manager. “Spotlighting the strong, independent women in the western industry has been a focal point for the Durango brand so we’re proud to recognize our Team Durango athletes: Lisa Lockhart, Jordon Briggs, Stevi Hillman and Kelsie Domer along with other legendary women who have influenced the sport and continue to shape the future of rodeo.”
