WPRA Finals: Haiden Thompson Wins 2 World Titles, Jackie Crawford Bags 1

It's that time of year, where more WPRA World Champions are crowned.

It was awards day at the WPRA World Finals in Waco, Texas, at Extraco Events Center with world titles celebrated in team roping, tie-down roping, all-around, futurity and derby.

Haiden Thompson cleaned up at the WPRA World Finals winning her second consecutive all-around world title edging the only million-dollar roper in WPRA history Jackie Crawford by $2,754. Thompson won after collecting $9,465 for the year to Crawford’s $6,711. Thompson also picked up her first world title in the tie-down roping again edging Crawford by $520. The title came down to the final round, a round that Thompson won with a time of 12.2 seconds, and Crawford unfortunately finished with a no time.

Thompson won the average at the world finals edging Rylee George. Thompson finished with 38.7 on three head, while George was second with a 49.2. These were the only two ladies out of 27 to post a time in all three rounds.

2025 WPRA Heading World Title: Jackie Crawford

While Crawford was shut out in these two categories she did pick up her 24th world title in the team roping as a header. This is her fifth world title as a team roping header. She finished the year with $13,052. Finishing reserve was another legend in the game Lari Dee Guy.

Annette Stahl added another team roping heeling to her resume winning the 2026 world title after collecting $11,856. Stahl now has five WPRA world titles to her name winning her previous ones in 2014, 2015, 2021 and 2023. Lorraine Moreno finished as the reserve world champion.

Winning the average at the WPRA World Finals was Kenzie Kelton and Rylie Smith with a total time of 23.2 seconds on three head. Kelton also walked away with the Priefert Chute used during the World Finals after being selected in a random draw during the final performance.

While the world champion in breakaway will be crowned in Las Vegas during the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka a total of 173 ladies took their shot at the average title in Waco. Riding away with the title was Jaci Hammons with a three-run time of 6.3 seconds. Hadley Thompson, sister of Haiden, finished second in a time of 7.1 seconds.
