Albuquerque, NM, May 29, 2023 – Members of BreakawayRoping.com will have exclusive access on Wednesday to the livestream of the 2nd Annual Priefert Ranch Open (PRO) Breakaway in Mount Pleasant, Texas, as well as a new youth breakaway that morning.
The Priefert PRO Roping is comprised of five days of team roping and breakaway at the Priefert Ranch, kicking off on May 30 with the Priefert Ranch Open Team Roping. The next morning at 10 a.m., for the first time, is the 19-And-Under Breakaway with a 15-And-Under Sidepot, followed at 6:30 p.m. by the Open Breakaway. A full slate of World Series team ropings follows on June 1-3, all of which will be available for viewing on Roping.com, powered by The Team Roping Journal.
“The Priefert family developed the Priefert Ranch Open to coincide with the Mount Pleasant PRCA rodeo and entice ropers to stick around town for a few more days,” said PRO announcer Dru Stewart, who plans to also stream interviews of champions via the Priefert Sports Desk.
The average champion of the 19-And-Under Breakaway will earn a berth into the Junior Division of this year’s Cinch Junior World Championship Rodeo in Guthrie, Oklahoma, courtesy of the World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA). Another bye in the Youth Division will be given to the average champion of the sidepot.
And in the enter-twice Open Breakaway, the top two finishers in the average race will earn their way into the 2024 WCRA Women’s Rodeo World Championships. Last year, Resistol Rookie of the Year Josie Conner roped three calves in 6.95 seconds to edge defending world champion Martha Angelone and more than 80 other girls for the win. The replay of last year’s PRO Breakaway logged more than 5,160 viewing minutes, making it the most-watched series on BreakawayRoping.com.
