$800,000 Reasons to Compete in the Women’s Rodeo World Championships

Watch the world’s best women in breakaway roping, barrel racing, and team roping compete for record payouts in Fort Worth and Arlington.

The 2025 Women’s Rodeo World Championship (WRWC) heads back to Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas, from May 11–14 and May 17.

The event will bring together the world’s top female rodeo athletes to compete for a record-setting $802,000 payout and dole out World Champion titles in the breakaway, barrel racing and team roping.

Where to Watch the WRWC

All rounds will air on The Cowboy Channel. This includes pre-shows, live competition, and post-show analysis featuring interviews with the new champions and highlights from each round.

Cowboy Channel Broadcast Schedule (ET):

  • May 12 — Round 1 (9:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
  • May 13 — Round 2 (9:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
  • May 14 — Challenger Semifinals (10:00 AM – 11:30 AM)
  • May 14 — Studio Show (11:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
  • May 14 — Semifinals (12:00 PM – 1:30 PM)
  • May 17 — Championship Studio Show (10:00 PM – 10:30 PM)

2025 WRWC Schedule

The WRWC kicks off with the Tito’s Welcome Gala & Back Number Ceremony on May 11 at Tannahill’s Tavern and Music Hall, presented by Cowgirl Magazine. Fans can tune in live on the Women’s Rodeo Championship Facebook page.

The Championship Round takes place May 17 inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington during the PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Championship. The top athletes from each division will compete in the final showdown for event titles.

Martha Angelone leads the top athletes

Two-time All-Around World Champion Martha Angelone of Stephenville, Texas, enters the 2025 WRWC as the front-runner. She currently leads both the All-Around and Breakaway Roping Pro leaderboards and will compete in three disciplines this year:

  • Breakaway roping
  • Team roping (heading)
  • Team roping (heeling)

She is the only athlete in the field to have won back-to-back All-Around titles (2023, 2024).

  • Challenger: Karrigan Cagley (Kentwood, LA)
  • Limited: Christa Brunori (Camp Verde, AZ)

Goat Tying:

World Titles on the Line

World Champions will be determined based on points earned from April 15, 2024 through May 14, 2025. Titles will be awarded in:

  • Pro
  • Challenger
  • Limited classifications

Texas Bonus: Ariat Texas Rattlers Cowgirl Cash Award

For the third year, WRWC has partnered with the Ariat Texas Rattlers of the PBR Teams league to reward the top-performing Texas resident. The Honorary Texas Rattlers Cowgirl Cash Bonus will go to the highest point earner from Texas in any one discipline. These athletes will wear a special Team Texas patch.

Collegiate Spotlight: Smarty Rodeo Goat Tying Showcase

On May 13, the top 20 NIRA (National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association) athletes will compete in the Smarty Rodeo Goat Tying Showcase, highlighting future stars of rodeo.
