Martha Angelone won more money than any cowgirl in ProRodeo last week—$12,790 between Ellensburg and Walla Walla, Washington—to climb three spots to a projected No. 17 in the WPRA Pro Rodeo Breakaway World Standings.
Angelone won the Walla Walla semi-finals at 2.8 and was second in the average pocketing $4,953. Then she tied Jordi Edens-Mitchell to win the Ellensburg average at 8.3 seconds on three head, worth $4,576 apiece, and added $3,261 worth of round money walking away with a $7,837 total. Her week puts her at a projected $81,546 and is the biggest climb in the top 20.
Hali Williams’ was the weeks No. 2 earner at $10,964. That money cuts McCartney’s lead at the top from an official $17,615 to a projected $15,892. She hustled for it, winning money across three different states, Filer, Idaho; Ellensburg, Washington; and Parowan, Utah.
McCartney was the weeks No. 5 earner and is creeping up on the regular-season earnings record.
A tie for the Parowan, Utah, win, a second round win in Ellensburg and round one money at Walla Walla put the cowgirl at a projected $179,171. That is just $12,004 short of the $191,175 record Taylor Munsell set in 2025, the most money won in a WPRA breakaway regular season.

Four cowgirls cleared $10,000 on the week. Hali Williams was 1.7 to win Filer, Idaho, outright for $6,420 and Edens-Mitchell won the Ellensburg finals on top of her share of the average. Haiden Thompson won the Walla Walla average at 5.6 on two head for $3,251, the cheque that carried her $10,221 week. In all, 21 rodeos paid $286,109 in breakaway money and 159 cowgirls cashed, $10,575 of it at Merritt.

These numbers are projected, not official. The baseline is the WPRA official file stamped Sept. 2, which reconciles through Aug. 30; every payout from the 21 rodeos that concluded Sept. 4-7 is added on top, including Dallyn’s $1,904 at Merritt. Movement is measured against that official file.

Thompson’s Walla Walla average lifts her two spots to a projected No. 9 and past $100,000, the tenth cowgirl to do it this year.
Suzanne Williams sits $249 short of six figures at a projected No. 11. Edens-Mitchell moves past Danielle Lowman and Cadee Williams into a projected No. 6 and past $120,000.
The Bubble
The No. 15 hole changes hands again. Shelby Boisjoli-Meged’s $8,282 lifts the cowgirl to a projected $86,663 and past Sawyer Gilbert, who won $1,042 and holds a projected No. 16 at $84,601. Only $2,062 separates the two, and only $1,455 separates Boisjoli-Meged from Beau Peterson above her at a projected No. 14.
Dallyn’s Merritt, British Columbia, Canada, money settles the line above them. Her 2.5 was worth $1,904 and takes her to a projected $89,928, $1,810 clear of Peterson. Further down, Angelone’s climb leaves her a projected $332 ahead of Maddy Jacobs, and $246 separates Jill Tanner from Bradi Good at Nos. 19 and 20.
The Rest of the Week
Ellensburg and Walla Walla paid $100,244 between them, 35 percent of everything on the board and 59 percent of what the top 10 earned. Both were Cinch Playoff Series rodeos, and the deadline to get into Sioux Falls is Monday, Sept. 21. In 2025 all 15 cowgirls who made the National Finals Breakaway Roping finished the regular season above six figures; on this projection, 10 are there with the month to go.
