The 2026 WCJR kicks off at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, July 8–11, and the draw is stacked with familiar names as three of last year’s champions back for more this year.
We know that all the young guns entered this weekend are tough competition, but these three ladies have already proven they have what it takes to perform under the pressure. We think they are worth keeping an eye on.
Returning Champions
Allie Calcote
Allie Calcote, a Sugartown, Louisiana, cowgirl, is entered as a two-event threat. The 2025 WCJR junior goat tying champion is entered in both the junior goat tying and the junior breakaway—giving her two shots at big money this week.
Acey Autrey
Acey Autrey has always been a standout goat tyer but this year, she moves up a division. The 2025 youth goat tying champion, from Abilene, Texas, has aged into the Junior ranks for 2026 and is draw no. 47 in the junior goat tying.
Brook Banks
Brook Banks the reigning Youth breakaway champion, is opting to enter both the youth and the junior breakaway divisions. The Bristow, Oklahoma, cowgirl has been a dominate presence in youth breakaway, winning both the event and world titles last year, and is showing no sign of letting up now.
Draws are still pending after as entries to the Last Chance Qualifiers are open until an hour before the event.
