The Cowgirl Channel is the chosen recipient of the Shine Bright Cowgirl Catalyst Award. Inspired by Mane ‘n Tail’s “Boss of Gloss” Ultimate Gloss Shampoo, the Shine Bright Award recognizes the person or entity that has made boss-level moves to further the reach of Women in Rodeo.

The Cowgirl Channel—a 24-hour television network featuring content centered around women in western sports and the modern-day cowgirl—was launched in February 2023 as a genuine sister network to The Cowboy Channel, the official network of ProRodeo. Now, thanks to their recognition of the commitment of the athletes in women’s rodeo and the desire of the fans to embrace and promote it, fans can now find cowgirl-only content 24 hours a day that features WPRA coverage, National High School Rodeo events, The Cowgirl Hall of Fame inductions and more.

“Together, The Cowboy Channel and The Cowgirl Channel will be the foundation for Rural Media Group’s effort to revolutionize western sports and invest in the future of the western lifestyle,” said network owner Rural Media Group ahead of the launch.

The Breakaway Roping Journal finds The Cowgirl Channel a perfect recipient of the Shine Bright Cowgirl Catalyst Award for its commitment to Women in Rodeo and taking an active role in growing the industry to create more and better opportunities for the athletes of today and tomorrow. By launching The Cowgirl Channel, Women in Rodeo can be seen across a national television network every hour of every day for the first time ever.

To The Cowgirl Channel, we congratulate you and thank you, sincerely.
