It’s time to rodeo in Puyallup, Washington, at the Washington State Fair, where there is $72,000 in added money for breakaway ropers.
Why is Puyallup so important anyway?
In past years, Puyallup has been the final stop on the WPRA’s CINCH Playoff Series—a lucrative opportunity for breakaway ropers both inside and outside the Top 15 to grab some last-minute cash. But this year, Puyallup is a stepping stone to the gargantuan Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, which is paying out an unprecedented $1 million across all events on the final weekend of the 2023 ProRodeo season.
