The cutoff for the 2025 NFBR was tougher than ever, with the No. 15’s earnings rising from $77,756 in 2024 to $100,027 in 2025–and that benchmark couldn’t have been met without the ProRodeo breakaway horses that lent the Top 15 their wings.

With nearly $2 million earned across approximately 40 horses and 15 riders, the bloodlines and sweat equity that was put into these horses is deserving of recognition. From Josie Conner’s “Dutch” receiving his second Horse of the Year award to Bailey Bates riding Ariana Varischetti’s “Reno,” the stories woven into the strings of ProRodeo breakaway ropers
