Five out of the 13 ProRodeo circuits were represented at this year’s National Finals Breakaway Roping, where the Top 15 WPRA/PRCA breakaway ropers competed to win the world at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 29–30, 2022.

Here is the complete breakdown of each circuit, including total go-round wins, total placings, total earnings and average earnings.

2022 NFBR Circuit Breakdown

5. Mountain States Circuit: $15,132

Number of Breakaway Ropers: 1 (Erin Johnson)
Go-Round Wins: 0
Go-Round Placings: 3
Total Earnings: $15,132
Average Earnings per Breakaway Roper: $15,132

Erin Johnson entered the 2022 NFBR at No. 2 in the world standings. She placed in three go-rounds for $15,132 to finish out the year at No. 3 in the world with $88,719.77.

4. Badlands Circuit: $27,327

Number of Breakaway Ropers: 2 (Rickie Engesser and Samantha Fulton)
Go-Round Wins: 3 (Rickie Engesser – Round 5; Samanta Fulton – Round 2 and Round 3)
Go-Round Placings: 8 (Rickie Engesser – 5, Samantha Fulton – 3)

Average Earnings per Breakaway Roper: $13,664

Rickie Engesser entered the 2022 NFBR as No. 9 in the world standings, won three go-rounds and placed in five, earning a total of $12,963. She finished the year ninth in the world with $73,324.80.

Samantha Fulton came into the 2022 NFBR at No. 14 and, after winning two go-rounds and placing in three, she won $14,364, for a year-end total of $65,167.68. Like Engesser, she finished the year with the same ranking she entered the NFBR.

3. Prairie Circuit: $33,774

Taylor Munsell was No. 4 in the world standings before she won three NFBR go-rounds and placed in six. She took home $21,453 from the event to end the season as No. 2 in the world with $90,844.53.

Beau Peterson entered the 2022 NFBR at No. 11 in the world standings and placed in three go-rounds to earn $12,321. She finished the year with $69,907.15 at No. 12.

2. Montana Circuit: $34,785

Number of Breakaway Ropers: 2 (Joey Williams and Cadee Williams)

Joey Williams rode into the 2022 NFBR at No. 8 in the world standings. She won one go-round and placed in five to earn an event total of $15,138. She finished the year at No. 7 with $80,315.85.

Cadee Williams was No. 13 coming into the 2022 NFBR, where she placed in three go-rounds and caught all 10 calves to win the average championship. Her extraordinary efforts were worth $19,647 and a five-place jump to No. 8 in the world standings with $75,319.21.

Martha Angelone led the world standings going into the 2022 NFBR, won two go-rounds and placed in six to earn $19,707. Her dominant season concluded with $130,303.91 and the World Champion Breakaway Roper title.

Lari Dee Guy entered the 2022 NFBR at No. 3 in the world standings. She placed in four go-rounds and won an event total of $19,045 to end her season No. 4 in the world with $88,584.52.

Shelby Boisjoli was sixth in the world ahead of the 2022 NFBR. There, she placed in five go-rounds, worth $17,955. Her total 2022 earnings of $83,807.59 meant finishing out the season at No. 5.

Cheyanne Guillory went to the Finals ranked No. 10 in the world standings. She won one go-round and placed in 6, which earned her the highest payout of the 2022 NFBR at $25,537. The earnings meant Guillory finished the year No. 6 in the world with $83,785.99.

Taylor Hanchey came into the 2022 NFBR at No. 5. She placed in three go-rounds and took home $5,956, ending the year with $72,977.29, worth No. 11 in the world standings.

Jordi Edens was seventh in the world and placed in three go-rounds, worth a $7,357 NFBR check. Her season concluded at No. 10 with $73,101.86.

Josie Conner rode into the 2022 NFBR as Resistol Rookie of the Year and No. 15 in the world. She placed in 3 go-rounds to win $10,500, and to maintain her No. 15 spot with $61,233.13 earned at the end of her first season.
