WCRA Reschedules Rodeo Carolina in Wake of Hurricane Helene

The WCRA team is improvising, adapting and overcoming in the wake of historic Hurricane Helene flooding the Eastern United States.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the WCRA team has decided to postpone WCRA Rodeo Carolina.

Due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene on the greater Atlantic region, WCRA Rodeo Carolina has been rescheduled from Oct. 2-5 to Oct. 30-Nov. 2.

The event will take place on the same property, in Mill Spring, North Carolina, at the Tryon International Equestrian Center and Resort.

The updated WCRA Rodeo Carolina schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Oct. 30 – Qualifying Round

Thursday, Oct. 31 – Progressive Round One

Friday, Nov. 1 – Progressive Round Two

Saturday, Nov. 2 – Championship Round

Athletes who have questions regarding their entry can contact WCRA at [email protected].

The safety of our athletes, livestock, fans, and crew remains WCRA’s top priority. We appreciate the understanding of our fans, competitors, partners, and staff, and our thoughts and best wishes are with everyone in the region affected by the storm.

The Breakaway Roping Journal will continue to provide updates in the wake of this record breaking storm.
