With record-breaking amounts of added money on the trail, the professional breakaway ropers aren’t leaving any money on the table. From tight times to arena records, the cowgirls are running up and down the ProRodeo trail like something wicked is in pursuit.
Standings from WPRA.com as updated on July 11, 2022.
1. Martha Angelone, Stephenville, Texas
$51,799.11
Angelone took over the lead after a quiet, yet successful Fourth of July run. Angelone’s big win in Reno helped propel her up the standings after a solid winter run. In early March, Angelone set the tone for her spring and early summer runs by winning the inaugural San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo breakaway roping.
2. Erin Johnson, Fowler Colorado
$50,512.27
Johnson held on to the No. 1 position after winning RodeoHouston in March, and has been relatively quiet since.

4. Kelsie Domer, Dublin, Texas
$42,192.88
At six months pregnant, Domer may have hung up her spurs on May 20, 2022, but she is still seated in the No. 4 position in the world after hitting just 18 rodeos during the season. Domer’s impressive win at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo back in January.

Hampton and Munsell were two of the cowgirls to win Mt Pleasant, Texas, in a four-way, 1.8-second tie.
6. Taylor Munsell, Alva, Oklahoma
$35,504.78
College National Champion and NFBR qualifier Taylor Munsell has been popping up steadily in the ProRodeo results all summer. From Texas rodeos like Pecos, to Red Bluff on the California run, to Reno, then Prescott over the fourth, Munsell has been on a roll across the nation and has hung towards the top of the Top 15 for most of the season.
7. Shelby Boisjoli, Stephenville, Texas
$33,504.78
Boisjoli was already holding solid in 2022, but in mid-June, she got 2021 AQHA Breakaway Horse of the Year, Onna back on the trailer and won Big Springs, Texas, her first weekend back. Boisjoli placed deep in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and Prescott, Arizona, holding her spot within the Top 10 over the Fourth run.
8. Taylor Hanchey, Carmine, Texas
$33,052.42
Hanchey has been on a heater in the summer months. Before headed out west, Hanchey kicked off her summer run with a win in Pecos, Texas, then continued onto Reno, where she was solid in all three rounds and the aggregate. Add in the over $14K she pocketed on her Cowboy Christmas run, and it’s clear to see how Hanchey shot up the world standings to hit the No. 8 spot.
9. Cadee Williams, Weatherford, Texas
$32,863.30
Williams has had a quiet summer run since she cashed in for $3,285 in Woodward, Oklahoma. However, the Texas cowgirl shined during the winter rodeos and cashed in for the win in Deadwood, South Dakota, over Memorial Day weekend.
10. Sawyer Gilbert, Buffalo, South Dakota
$31,779.37
Reigning 2021 WPRA World Champion Sawyer Gilbert was another cowgirl who took home over $10K on her Cowboy Christmas, which gave her a healthy boost into the Top 15.

11. Samantha Fulton, Miller, South Dakota
$30,763.87
Fulton won Sisters, Oregon, and a $3,920 paycheck before starting her official summer run with hauling parters Taylor Munsell and Whitney Thurmond. A quiet few weeks have caused her name to drop a few positions in the standings, but Fulton’s big spring and winter season helped provide cushion for the South Dakota cowgirl. She picked up momentum after the fourth, winning second at Laramie, Wyoming and tying for the win in Wall, South Dakota.
12. Jordi Edens, Gatesville, Texas
$29,755.35
Jordi Edens rocketed up the standings seemingly out of nowhere after claiming high-earning bragging rights over the Fourth of July run. She won Oakley, Utah, and Belle Fourche, South Dakota, along with placing at Prescott along the way.
13. Danielle Lowman, Gilbert, Arizona
$27,055.87
Lowman wins the unofficial award for most supportive breakaway roper—she is often found in the background of winning photos, cheering on her fellow competitors. Lowman has also been rock solid throughout the year. She hasn’t notched any headlining wins on the summer run, but her consistency has paid off at a steady hold in the top 15.

14. Amber Crawford, Boyd, Texas
$26,965.20
Much of Crawford’s winnings came from quick times in Texas and Oklahoma throughout the winter and spring, but she racked up enough at rodeos like Union, Oregon, and Laramie, Wyoming, to keep a foothold on a top 15 position. Crawford finished in the No. 17 position in 2021, so chances are she will stay hooked to finish on the better side of the bubble in 2022.
15. Amanda Coleman, Stephenville, Texas
$25,928.91
At just 20 years old, Coleman is already an NFBR veteran, and she’s looking to return to Vegas in 2022. She hasn’t cashed in majorly on the summer run, but her big earnings from her win in Clovis, California, and winter rodeo earnings have held her position.
